About Martin
Martin Bryan is a Toronto-based photographer who first discovered his craft in late 2018 while visiting his home province of Newfoundland. Martin’s work has since then evolved into editorial portraiture, where he combines his passion for art and decades of photo editing with his unique ability to capture his subject’s most vulnerable moments.
Photographing, editing, printing, and framing his own work, Martin is meticulous in all aspects of his craft.
Working full-time in community health, his interests in culture, social science, advocacy, and community often intersect in an approach to dissect the mundane yet complex systems of our everyday lives.
As a former secretary on the executive board at Ralph Thornton Community Centre, Martin continues to work and support his community, collaborating with non-profits and organisations such as the Toronto Distress Centre, Rainbow Railroad, Toronto People With AIDS Foundation, Childhood Cancer Survivor Canada, and more.
